Mexican Adventure

What can I say about our trip to Mexico. Every pregnancy book I read said that as a couple we needed to take one last big trip before we have our baby. So at 3 months pregnant we decided to take our second honeymoon back to Mexico. But this time Cancun and at a 5 Star All-Inclusive Resort there. We had a wonderful time up until the last day. I got food poisoning and "freaked out" because I couldn't eat anything and I wasn't feeding my new baby anything. (this is where I made up for all my non morning sickness throughout my pregnancy...in one night) Brent ended up with food poisoning as well but he was lucky enough to have it when he came home and not at the resort and on the plane ride home. Lets just say this experience left us loving America more and vowing never to step off this blessed land (besides industrialized Europe of course.)

The beach there was to die for and they had all these beds with shade everywhere. We easily found a place everyday we went and played endless card games on them.

Chichenitza Temple

I chose the Riveria Maya for our vacation so Brent could see some Mayan Temples (my little history buff) On a funny side note we ran into another LDS couple who asked us if we think the temple area was built by Nephite or Lamanite decendants... without really knowing we were LDS, I guess Brent wearing a Utes hat may have given it away but man what an assumption. Funny enough Brent and I already had that discussion...surprising really (he's also a scriptorian.)

This is a sink hole where people dived in and went swimming. We passed but it did look nice.
