The title of my blog explains it all. Life’s Not Fair. If you don’t already know I’m sorry you have to read about it through a blog. My cute mom passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2007. She was eating out with my dad on the 12th and she didn’t feel very well. So she went outside to get some air and collapsed. My dad and the manager tried to do CPR but no air would go in. The paramedics arrived and couldn’t get any air in either so they intubated her on the spot and took her to the hospital. They thought she had a stroke or a heart attack but tests showed neither of those two were the case. They then took her off sedation to see if she would wake up from her coma. Unfortunately, she didn’t and tests showed she was brain dead from the lack of oxygen. We, as a family, decided to take her off life support at 7pm on Dec 17th and at 3:30am on the 18th she had passed away.
Family, friends and coworkers have been such a huge help through this whole ordeal. Sometimes I wonder when I’m going to wake up from this horrible nightmare. It has been the most traumatic event of my life. I’m so grateful to my wonderful husband who listened to me cry and repeat over and over that life just isn’t fair, and the timing was even more unfair. He watched me sob as I tried to be the strong one. A role I couldn’t take on for once in my life.
Annabelle is doing great through all of this. I’m 34 weeks along and she is as active as can be. Poor girl has already been though a lot and hasn’t even been born.
Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers. I definitely needed them.

I'm so sorry to hear about your sweet mother. We'll keep you and your family in our prayers.
I am sorry to hear about your lose. I know that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us and we might not understand why things happen or why we have to pass through them, but having faith in that He knows better always makes me feel better. I have witnessed that too many times in my life and in many others. Our prayers go out to you and your family.
My heart sank as I read this. I'm so sorry and pray for you to feel comfort at such a rough time.
