- So in case you don't know how Brent and I met here's the low down. We met in our singles ward, he was the Sunday School President and I was a teacher. He called one day to ask me out and I was thinking he was going to ask me to teach on sunday which I really did not want to do. So while he was making small chat I was thinking of excuses on how to get out of teaching. He asked me out which totally threw me and of course I had to work (not an excuse but reality.) As Brent will say I didn't leave it open for him to ask me out again with a phrase such as, "maybe some other time." So I was talking with a friend and somehow we got to talking about dating and I mentioned that Brent had asked me out but I didn't really know him...Well my friend said that he thought Brent was a GREAT guy. So at church one Sunday I asked Brent to come with me to a musical I was once in, and of course he asked me to go dinner that night as well...and the rest is history.
